Volodymyr V. Karvatskyi (Arkhitektor)

Sergeant Volodymyr Karvatskyi (call sign Architect) died on November 22, 2023, near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he evacuated a wounded comrade, but was himself mortally wounded. The defender was 50 years old. Volodymyr was born in the city of Tlumach, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 1990, he graduated from the local school. He worked as a master of servicing typewriters at the "Otto Hans" printing house. He was involved in sports and was a candidate for the title of Master of Sports in freestyle wrestling. In his free time, he loved to fish with his son. During the full-scale Russian invasion, on April 28, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the defenders. He served in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For his combat merits, he was awarded the "Cossack Cross" distinction. "Volodymyr was a family man, the best husband, dad, son, and brother. He was a smiling person, a positive person, a philosopher. He loved to tinker and fish with his son, for whom he was the best example of a man," the widow of the fallen hero said. The hero was buried in his hometown. At home, he was awaited by his wife Viktoria, son Vladyslav, relatives, and friends.
