Volodymyr V. Kokhanets

Warrior Volodymyr Kokhanets (call sign Kubik) died on July 18, 2024, during the evacuation of a wounded comrade near the village of Pobeda in the Donetsk region. The military was 36 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Sapanivchyk, Rivne region. He studied at the Sapanivska Gymnasium. He received vocational education at the Kremenets Vocational Lyceum. He was interested in technology, especially cars, so he chose a profession related to machines. He worked at a tire fitting shop in Kremenets. In 2014, the man was drafted into military service, participated in the ATO, and after a year of service returned to civilian life. When Ukraine needed protection again, he did not remain on the sidelines. On March 20, 2023, he again took up the defense of his country. He served in the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, holding the position of driver-medic. "My dad was a very good person, everyone loved and respected him. His comrades-in-arms were proud of him, because he saved many people, risking his life," said the hero's daughter. Volodymyr was buried in the village of Minkivtsi, Rivne region. He left behind a daughter Maryana and a son Artem.
