Biography
Kryzhanivskyi Volodymyr Vasylovych was born on February 26, 1996, in the village of Pokrovske, Vradiivskyi district, Mykolaiv region. From a young age, he was passionate about cars, weapons, and military equipment. After finishing the 11th grade, he entered the Mykolaiv Polytechnic College, majoring in "Maintenance and Repair of Automobile and Tractor Electrical Equipment". In 2019, he graduated from the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University with a degree in "Energy and Electrical Systems in the Agro-Industrial Complex". During his student years, he was involved in hand-to-hand combat. On June 6, 2018, Volodymyr signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine. On February 7, 2019, he was transferred to the special purpose unit "Azov". He held the position of senior rifleman-gunner of the grenade launcher section of the fire support platoon of the 2nd company of the 2nd battalion of "Azov". In the summer of 2019, he participated in the battles on the Svitlodarsk Arch. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Volodymyr was on leave with his parents. On February 23, 2022, he returned to his comrades and participated in the defense of Mariupol in the Donetsk region. He was promoted and appointed senior mechanic-driver-electrician of the command section of the battery commander's platoon of the 2nd howitzer artillery battery of the howitzer artillery division of the Special Operations Unit "Azov". He heroically died on April 3, 2022, while performing a combat mission on the right bank of Mariupol. For more than 6 months, the soldier was considered missing. Then, according to a DNA examination, it became known that Volodymyr Kryzhanivskyi was buried in the Krasnopilskyi cemetery in Dnipro as a temporarily unknown defender of Ukraine. Only on October 8, 2022, Volodymyr Kryzhanivskyi was reburied in the village of Pokrovske, Mykolaiv region.Burial place
