Volodymyr V. Lutsyshyn

Born on April 20, 1985, in the village of Hontchary, Pustomyty District, Lviv Oblast. Graduated from a general education school. Served mandatory military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the beginning of 2015, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0927, cities of Sievierodonetsk/Lysychansk, Luhansk Oblast). From the spring of 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On May 9, 2015, Senior Soldier Lutsyshyn was killed while performing a combat mission near the village of Chervonyi Zhovten (since 2016 - Sotenne) in the Stanytsia Luhanska District of Luhansk Oblast, not far from the city of Shchastia, Luhansk Oblast. He was buried on May 15, 2015, in the cemetery of the village of Hontchary, Pustomyty District, Lviv Oblast.
