- 25-year-old fighter Volodymyr Neroda died on October 13, 2022, near the town of Soledar in Donetsk region. He was hit by artillery fire while rescuing an injured comrade. Volodymyr was born in the village of Bashlyky in Volyn. He lived in the village of Moshchanytsia and the city of Lutsk. He obtained a profession as a painter-plasterer at the Ovadniv Professional Technical College. He worked as a laborer at "Ukrposhta." He went to the front at the age of 19. He served in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr the Great. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). In 2018, he sustained serious injuries. Doctors gave him little chance of survival, but he survived. He was treated in Ukraine and Germany. In 2019, due to health problems, he was discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent rehabilitation during which he began practicing archery. Due to his injuries, this was not easy. But Volodymyr did not give up and continued to train. He became a member of the archery club "Lutsk Falcons." In 2020, he took first place in the "Beginners" category in the online competition "Invictus Games 2.0." He dreamed of joining the national team. When Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, he took up arms again. He traveled from a rehabilitation center in Lviv region to Lutsk and enlisted in the local territorial defense. After 5 months, he became a fighter in the volunteer battalion "OUN," which later joined the 71st Separate Jaeger Brigade. In the territorial defense, he had the call sign "Maly," and in the "OUN" battalion, he was known as "Tokar." "Volodymyr was positive, bright, could not sit still, could not wait, he would immediately go do something, he wanted to be useful. He completed all the tasks assigned to him. He always reported on how he managed. He was responsible in all processes. He led the guys," said comrade Pavlo Kovalskyi. The hero was buried in the village of Moshchanytsia in Volyn.
