Volodymyr V. Popovych

Sergeant Volodymyr Popovych on July 16, 2022, from a mine-explosive injury he sustained in Donetsk region during enemy shelling. Volodymyr was born in the city of Nizhyn in Chernihiv region. From childhood, he dreamed of being a military man, so immediately after school, he went to serve in the presidential regiment in Kyiv. Volodymyr was a kind, calm and balanced person, he had many friends. He constantly engaged in sports: every day he ran to the village of Kolisnyky and back. He was also seriously involved in boxing. He stu at the municipal police in the city of Vyshhorod. Later, Volodymyr was transferred to "Berkut". He was a participant in the ATO, had many awards. In April 2022, Volodymyr was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of the machine gun platoon. He almost daily contacted from the front, never complained, always said that everything was fine with him. So it was during the last conversation with relatives. After the victory, he dreamed of housing in Kyiv, where they would all live a long, peaceful and quiet life as a family. Volodymyr left behind his wife Polina and daughter Khrystyna, whom he loved very much and often pampered with various gifts.
