Biography
Volodymyr Vasylovych Primachenko was born on March 21, 1965 in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He worked at various enterprises. He served in the army during the war in Afghanistan. There he served for 1.5 years as a helicopter Mi-8 flight mechanic and gunner. After returning, he moved to Kherson, where he received a higher education in the specialty "Management and Personnel Management". He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. After the start of the Revolution of Dignity, he went to Maidan with the words: "History of Ukraine is being made there, and I must be there." He was part of the 8th "Afghan" self-defense hundred of Maidan. He participated in the war in eastern Ukraine as part of the 24th separate assault battalion "Aidar". While evacuating wounded comrades from the besieged Luhansk airport, Volodymyr Primachenko received shrapnel wounds and underwent a long rehabilitation. In 2015, he worked at the State Service for Veterans Affairs, and from July 2019 he headed the Kyiv department of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he went to the front again. He took part in combat operations as the commander of the 242nd battalion of the Territorial Defense Forces. He was killed on June 5, 2022 in the Donetsk region while performing a combat mission.Burial place
