Volodymyr V. Ryzhyi

Soldier Volodymyr Ryzhyi was killed in the village of Mykhailivka, Donetsk region. On the morning of July 15, 2023, he did not wake up. The man was found to have atherosclerotic heart disease and pulmonary edema. The medical report stated that the death was related to the defense of the Motherland. Volodymyr was 35 years old. He was born in the village of Bilokrynychchia, Khmilnytskyi region. He received a complete general secondary education at the Sudylkivska school, and also studied at the Shepetivka Interschool Training and Production Combine, where he obtained the profession of a locksmith. In civilian life, he worked as a builder. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine three times. First, he served in the regular army in 2006-2007, then he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Since April 2022, he has again been defending the state. He held the position of a grenade launcher in the protection unit of the 11th anti-aircraft missile regiment. "The only son of his mother, the best husband and father, whom we are proud of. We love and will never forget him," wrote his wife Olesya Ryzhа. The warrior was buried in his native village. Volodymyr is survived by his mother, wife and three children.
