Volodymyr V. Severenchuk

Severenchuk Volodymyr Volodymyrovich was born on April 15, 1980 in the city of Zhytomyr. He studied at Zhytomyr Secondary School No. 33. In 1990–1993, he received education at the Zhytomyr Vocational and Technical Education Center, mastering the specialty of "Tractor-machine operator of a wide profile for land reclamation work". In 2015–2016, he served in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation. In 2022, he went as a volunteer to the ranks of the 95th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He saved the lives of his comrades-in-arms, covering those around him with his own body from mines. On November 19, 2022, he died in a military hospital from the wounds he received. "We were going to the position, and we started to be bombed," says his comrade Andriy. "Volodymyr Severenchuk covered five people with his back. Where we expected the bombing, he completely covered the entire entrance with his back and received serious injuries." The hero was buried at the Smolyansky Military Cemetery in Zhytomyr. Volodymyr Severenchuk is survived by his mother, wife, and daughter.
