Volodymyr V. Shestopal

Born on February 22, 1979, in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region. Graduated from the 9th grade of secondary school No. 9 in the city of Fastiv (now - Fastiv Educational Complex "Lyceum of Information Technologies - Specialized General Education School I-III degrees No. 9") in 1996 and from the special vocational technical school No. 18 in the city of Fastiv (now - Fastiv Center for Vocational and Technical Education) with a specialty in "gas welder." Worked as a welder at the Open Joint Stock Company "Fakel." From June 1997 to December 1998, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training at the 169th Training Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, the urban-type settlement of Desna, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region), where he received the specialty of "diesel engine operator." Served in a military unit in the city of Uman, Cherkasy region. After demobilization, he returned to the city of Fastiv. Worked at the "Polifast" printing house. From October 2007 to April 2008, he worked as a senior operator of a running and cutting machine at the Limited Liability Company "Amida Plus" (Kyiv), from May 2008 to September 2010 - as a loader, mechanic at the Limited Liability Company "Kraizel-Building Materials" (Fastiv, Kyiv region), from November 2010 to January 2011 - as a performer of works at the road repair point No. 5 of the Vasylkiv road maintenance section, from April to July 2011 - as a guard at "Ukrrefttrans" (Fastiv, Kyiv region), from July to August 2011 - as a safety inspector at the Limited Liability Company "EKO" (Fastiv, Kyiv region), from August to November 2013 - as a machine operator of cutting machines at the Limited Liability Company "Amida Plus" (Kyiv). Recently, he was a laborer. During the Revolution of Dignity, he was a member of the Self-Defense of the Maidan of Fastiv region. On March 20, 2014, he was mobilized by the Fastiv United City Military Commissariat of Kyiv region into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior master of the repair company of the material support battalion of the 72nd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). From May 1, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 5, 2014, he was shot by Major Serhiy Dzhumanyazov while defending a fellow serviceman at the checkpoint "Sontsevo" near the city of Amvrosiivka, Donetsk region. On August 9, 2014, he was buried at the Glory Alley of the International Cemetery in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region.
