Volodymyr V. Tabak

29-year-old senior soldier Volodymyr Tabak (call sign Arey) died on September 13, 2023 near the village of Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region. In the battle with the occupiers, he suffered fatal injuries during a mortar shelling. Volodymyr was born and lived in the village of Volosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk College of Technology and Business, where he obtained the profession of a cook-technologist. He mostly worked abroad. He was passionate about football. During the full-scale war, the man fought for his Homeland in the ranks of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a machine gunner. For his service, the soldier was awarded the medal "For Courage" and the badge "For Personal Bravery". "Volodya was the best brother to me, a very sincere, kind and always smiling person. This is a great tragedy for our family, so I want his name to be known and remembered," said the sister of the deceased Olha Tabak. Volodymyr was buried in his native village.He is survived by his parents, wife and sister.
