Volodymyr V. Torshyn

Vladimir Volodymyrovych Torshin was born on March 21, 1987, in the city of Reni, Odessa region. From 1996, he lived with his parents in the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odessa region. He graduated from the military lyceum in Odesa and the Lviv Land Forces Institute of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", and studied at the National Defense University of Ukraine in Kyiv, which he was due to complete in 2022. He participated in the ATO and JFO in eastern Ukraine. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he served as the commander of a self-propelled artillery division of the brigade artillery group of the 36th Marine Brigade. He was killed on March 22, 2022, by an airstrike in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region.
