- Senior Sergeant Volodymyr Tyshchenko (call sign Vovan) was killed on April 1, 2023 in battle for the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. During the performance of combat missions, he received a fatal shrapnel wound to the head. The fighter turned 40 years old on January 23. Volodymyr was born in the village of Kegychivka, Kharkiv region. He graduated from Kegychivske Vocational School No. 60 and obtained the profession of a master of agricultural production. In civilian life, he was engaged in laying paving tiles, performing contract work on various objects in Kharkiv. During the full-scale war, the man took up the defense of his Homeland from the Russian invaders. Volodymyr served in the 58th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "My dear brother, you are forever 40 years old. Vova loved life so much, he loved and supported his family, his blue eyes with cheerful sparks always radiated warmth. I am ten years older, I remember well how Vova was born and mom showed me a little brother in the window (the maternity ward was in a one-story building). The loss of a loved one - can there be anything more terrible?" - wrote the sister of the fallen warrior Iryna Yusova. The defender was buried in his native village. Volodymyr is survived by his mother, two sisters and nephews.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
