Volodymyr V. Zastavskyi (Kniaz)

Senior soldier Volodymyr Zastavskyi (call sign Prince) was killed on September 8, 2023 during the assault near the village of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhia region. The defender's life was cut short by a mortar attack. Volodymyr was 39 years old. He was born in the village of Mykhailivka, Zaporizhia region. He obtained a cook's education at the local vocational school No. 52. He lived in Zaporizhia. He worked as a security guard in a store. In his free time, he loved to play computer games and cook. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the territorial defense, and later joined the 15th Operational Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine named after Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Bohdan Zavada. He was a mortar operator. For his participation in combat operations, he received a medal. "He was cheerful, had a great sense of humor. He was good at teaching others, he didn't like lazy people. Very fair and decent, he had the nickname Lawyer since his teenage years. That's why he went to fight..." - said his wife Olena Zastavska. Volodymyr was buried at the Matviyivske Cemetery in Zaporizhia. The warrior is survived by his wife and mother.
