- 44-year-old soldier Volodymyr Vlasyuk (call sign Yosyp) was killedon February 16, 2023 near the village of Nevske in the Luhansk region. In the battle, he received fatal injuries during an enemy tank shelling. Volodymyr was from the village of Bystrytsi in the Rivne region. He graduated from the Bystrytskyi Lyceum. He worked as a general laborer. His loved ones remember him as a faithful and reliable friend, a kind person who always came to help. In April 2022, the man voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fight for his country. He served in the ranks of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of senior grenade launcher squad leader. "My uncle conscientiously served his country. He was the main person in the crossing of our troops across the Dnipro River. He took part in the battles for Mariinka and Lyman in the Donetsk region. Despite all his illnesses, he stood steadfastly to the end, not telling anyone about his experiences, fought and protected us from the enemy. He had the respect of both commanders and comrades-in-arms. He was a determined warrior who had been in the very hell of war. He never complained about anything, he was strong," said the deceased's niece Marina Borovets. The defender was buried in his native village. Volodymyr left behind two sisters, a brother, a daughter, and other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
