- Soldier Volodymyr Vashchenko (call sign Puma) was killed on September 17, 2022 near the village of Milove in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, a group of Ukrainian warriors fell into an enemy ambush. In that battle, the soldier received fatal gunshot wounds. Two months earlier, on July 22, he turned 28 years old. Volodymyr was born in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region. He received his education at the Mariupol College of the Priazovskyi State Technical University. As his loved ones note, his entrepreneurship and activity in public life, as well as his sincerity in personal relationships, made him a favorite in any company he found himself in. In civilian life, the man was engaged in entrepreneurial activity - he opened a fast food restaurant in Kyiv. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought for his country in the ranks of the 101st separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman of the rifle company of the 68th battalion. "There is no one like Vova. He was a special person. In life, he achieved a lot and had more to achieve. He was always moving forward. The best husband, the best father for his two little sons. Courageous, smart, fair, kind, cheerful, the soul of the company. He bravely defended his country, protected his family. And it still seems that he is alive and I will see him, as if he is somewhere nearby. Our Hero," said the wife of the fallen warrior, Yevheniia Ardalianova. "You were one of the first in the army who began to break my stereotypes, you were one of the first with whom a friendship began, you were the one with whom it was simply and easy in everything. Quick to take on tasks, you went on all assignments and we learned your courage. I don't have so many photos with you, but all the memories are bright and positive. This is how I will keep you in my heart forever! Forever in the ranks! Honor!" wrote his comrade-in-arms Denys Man. The defender was buried in the village of Blyzniuky in the Kharkiv region. Volodymyr is survived by his wife, two sons, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
