Volodymyr Yu. Firchuk

Soldier Volodymyr Firchuk was killed on January 27, 2023 near the city of Marinka in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar shelling. The warrior was forever 28 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Dubische, Volyn region. He studied at the Dubische secondary school. Then he graduated from the Lutsk Higher Vocational School of Construction and Architecture, where he obtained the profession of a plumber-welder, manual welder. During the full-scale war, on September 16, 2022, the man was drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Without hesitation, he decided to defend Ukraine, because it was during the war that he lost his best friend - Vadym Dudka. He considered it his duty to take revenge. He served in the 79th separate air assault brigade. He held the position of BTR gunner. "He was always cheerful and sincere. A good son. A faithful and reliable friend and brother. He aspired to live in a free and independent Ukraine! An extremely heavy loss for the whole family... He will forever remain in our hearts and memory. Our Volodya..." - wrote the relatives of the deceased. The paratrooper was buried in the local cemetery in his native village. The defender left behind parents, a brother, relatives and friends.
