Junior Sergeant Volodymyr Onopreychuk (call sign Odesa) died on August 2, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. The warrior received a gunshot wound to the head. The defender was 23 years old. He was born in Odesa. He received his secondary specialized education at the Mechanical and Technological College of the Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies. He worked at LLC "Montazh-elektro". During the full-scale invasion, he joined the defense of the Motherland as part of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Mahura". "An extremely sensitive, kind, courageous, positive and loving man, son, brother, uncle," said his wife Tetyana. "My brother was a very cheerful and fun boy since childhood. He could always find a common language with any person and was the soul of the company. Following the example of our stepfather Serhiy, he became an incredibly responsible and strong man. My brother loved me and my mother very much, and his little niece was his soul, for whom he could get a star from the sky. Volodymyr was a man with a capital letter. He was a faithful friend and comrade, who would always help in a difficult moment and sincerely rejoice for others. Everyone around him loved and respected him," said his sister Yana Onopreychuk. The defender was buried at the Western Cemetery in Odesa. Volodymyr is survived by his mother, sister, wife, stepfather, grandmother and little niece.
