Yan F. Nazarenko

Born on March 9, 1991, in the village of Fastivets, Fastiv District, Kyiv Oblast. Graduated from the general education school of the village of Fastivets and the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport. Worked as a conductor on the railway. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In February 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 72nd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Oblast). Since the spring of 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On February 20, 2016, soldier Nazarenko was killed by a sniper's bullet to the head near the village of Starohnativka, Volnovakha District, Donetsk Oblast. On February 24, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Fastivets, Fastiv District, Kyiv Oblast.
