Yaroslav H. Malimon

Yarislav Hryhorovych Malimon was born on July 27, 1978. He graduated from Sosnivka Secondary School No. 7, and in 1996 he completed the Chervonohrad Professional Mining and Construction Lyceum, obtaining the specialty of "Electrician for Maintenance." Since 2010, he worked at the "Velykomostivska" mine of the State Enterprise "Lvivvuhillia." He was a participant in combat operations. On February 24, 2022, he took the first minibus from Sosnivka to the military enlistment office along with other residents of Sosnivka—he received a summons, but there was no one to hand it to him. He was killed on March 5, 2022, in a tank battle near the city of Popasna in the Luhansk region. He left behind a wife and two children. The hero was buried on March 14, 2022, in the village of Zabolottia in the Lviv region.
