Yaroslav H. Tsurkov (Dzhonik)

Tsurkov Yaroslav Hennadiiovych was born on February 24, 1998 in the village of Ukrainske, Lozivskyi district, Kharkiv region. At the age of 18, he took up the defense of the Ukrainian people, and met his last birthday as part of a unit on February 24, 2022. Over six years of service, he destroyed many enemies on the battlefield. He planned and carried out daring operations to eliminate the enemy. He was one of the best snipers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was serving under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed on June 29, 2022 during an artillery barrage in the area of Rubizhne, Luhansk region. His parents and wife survive him.
