- Lukyanenko Yaroslav Mykolayovych was born on May 5, 1994 in the urban-type settlement of Bereznehuvate, Mykolaiv region. After graduating from school in his native Bereznehuvate, Yaroslav became a cadet at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. When he successfully graduated, he returned to his hometown as a district police officer. Then he served in the investigative unit, and later Yaroslav moved to the special police patrol service "Mykolaiv" of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region. The police company's personnel were repeatedly in the East of the country, ensured law and order in various settlements of Donbas, worked at checkpoints, checked citizens and vehicles, detected and prevented the illegal transportation of weapons and ammunition, and prevented crimes. Yaroslav Lukyanenko also participated in all police operations. He was a professional and responsible person who could always be relied upon. On February 26, 2022, Yaroslav Lukyanenko was on duty in the duty unit. "His duties included providing us with weapons, special equipment, and ammunition," recalls his colleague and friend Viktor Antonenko. "He expressed a desire to leave with everyone and defend Mykolaiv from the enemy. We all had a fighting mood, we wanted to drive the Russian invaders as far as possible from our home." Yaroslav Lukyanenko died a few hundred meters from his house. On February 26, 2022, Yaroslav Lukyanenko was killed in Mykolaiv, near the Ternivske ring, repelling the breakthrough of enemy equipment from the direction of Kherson. For personal courage and selfless actions in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, Yaroslav Mykolayovych Lukyanenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously).
