- Senior Lieutenant Yaroslav Kozlov was killed on January 14, 2023 during the performance of a combat mission in the Lyman district of Donetsk region. The officer was 40 years old. Yaroslav was born and lived in Vinnytsia. He graduated from Vinnytsia State Agrarian University. In 2005-2014 he served in the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He was engaged in sports, led a healthy lifestyle: hardened, splashed with cold water. He loved fishing, resting in nature. He dreamed of going to the Carpathians. Since 2016, Yaroslav has served in the Vinnytsia Zonal Department of the Military Law and Order Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the ATO in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man continued to fulfill his military duty and took part in the fight against the invaders. Since March, he has been carrying out combat missions in Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region. "Yaroslav was a very caring and kind man, a father. He loved life very much, valued his relatives, loved ones, and friends. He was always positive, joked and cared for those around him. He had many plans that were not destined to come true. He cared for his family, adored his children. He believed that everything would be fine. He always set us up for a positive attitude. He loved to joke - he was the soul of the company. I was amazed at his fearlessness, he could not sit at home, knowing that his comrades-in-arms were at war," the officer's wife said. Yaroslav was buried at the Sabariv cemetery in Vinnytsia. At home, he was awaited by his father Oleksandr, mother Nina, wife Tetiana, daughters Maryna and Diana.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
