Yaroslav R. Kuryshko

Born on February 9, 1994, in the village of Karasin, Sarny district, Rivne region. In 2009, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Karasin, Sarny district, in 2010 - the 10th grade of the general education school in the village of Strilsk, Sarny district, and in 2011 - the district lyceum "Lider" in the city of Sarny, Rivne region. In 2011-2012, he studied at the Rivne Higher Vocational School of the State Guard Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. In 2012-2013, he served in the military in the 101st Separate Brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0139, Kyiv). Since 2013, he served under contract in the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Novograd-Volynskyi Rivne Red Banner and Suvorov Order Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). From spring-summer 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 8, 2014, soldier Kurishko was killed during the strike-search actions of the battalion tactical group of the 30th brigade in the area of the village of Pobeda, Novoaidar district, Luhansk region. On August 15, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Karasin, Sarny district. In the village of Karasin, Sarny district, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the general education school (Centralna Street, 18), where Yaroslav Kurishko studied.
