Yaroslav S. Zhuravel (Yarik)

Killed in action on July 13, 2020, near the town of Zaitseve in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. Despite agreements on the ceasefire regime, the enemy fired on the group that had moved out to retrieve the body of the fallen officer with small arms. Yaroslav, who was leading the group, took almost the entire brunt of the attack. He was wounded and remained in the gray zone after the group withdrew from the shelling. Yaroslav's body was handed over to the Ukrainian side only on July 21, 2020.
