Yaroslav V. Borodulin (Vehas)

22-year-old scout Yaroslav Borodulin (call sign Vegas) was killed on December 6, 2022 near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. During the execution of a combat mission, the soldier, together with his comrades-in-arms, fell into an enemy ambush. Yaroslav was born and lived in the city of Dnipro. He received secondary education. He was an office worker in his hometown. His comrades-in-arms remember him as a very responsible, intelligent and cheerful person. He liked to participate in adventures. He valued order. He loved to sleep. He hated lies and was always for the truth. During the full-scale war, Yaroslav defended Ukraine as part of the Skala reconnaissance battalion. On the day of his death, according to his comrade-in-arms, a group of scouts, which included Vegas, had to move to a position to meet another group. But their guide was killed by an enemy sniper, so the warriors decided to retreat back to their dugout. "The 'Wagnerites' came up behind them and shot them point-blank in the head. Then they put their body armor on their heads," the comrade-in-arms says. "Vegas was a very cheerful and smart guy, everyone in the battalion respected him. We wanted to go on vacation together to his native Dnipro so he could show me the city," adds the soldier. Yaroslav was buried in the Krasnopilskyi cemetery in his native Dnipro. He is survived only by his mother.
