Yaroslav Ya. Mytiuk

Senior soldier Yaroslav Mytiuk (call sign Patrik) died on June 15, 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Novovodiane in the Luhansk region. The warrior received injuries incompatible with life as a result of enemy artillery and mortar shelling. The defender was 28 years old. Yaroslav was born in the village of Dobryany in the Lviv region. After finishing school, he moved to Portugal, where his parents already lived. Before the start of the full-scale war, he returned to Ukraine. He got married. He lived in the village of Dolynany in the Lviv region. He was engaged in construction work, laying paving stones. In his free time, he loved to fish and spend time with his daughter and wife. When the full-scale invasion began, he engaged in volunteering, bringing cars to the front. Later, he joined the defense of the Motherland as part of the 3rd separate assault brigade. He held the position of rifleman-medic. "The man was very kind and generous. He learned new things easily, and completed everything he undertook. He had many friends, he was a loyal friend. He adored us with his daughter and his parents and brother. He did everything for us, he could deny himself something, but he gave us everything and even more. Brave and courageous, honest and caring. Our best!" - his wife Natalia said. The defender was buried in his native village. Yaroslav is survived by his parents, brother, wife and daughter, who was only one year old at the time of his death.
