- 41-year-old soldier Yaroslav Stadnytskyi was killed on March 29, 2022 near the village of Kamyanka in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he came under enemy artillery fire, sustained a fatal explosive injury and multiple shrapnel wounds. He was considered missing in action until May 19, 2023. Yaroslav was born in the village of Ivantsi, Rivne region. He graduated from Polytsia school. He obtained the profession of a fitter at vocational school No. 13 in Kuznetsovsk, Rivne region. He served his compulsory military service. For over 20 years, he worked at Polytsia Correctional Colony No. 76. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Yaroslav unhesitatingly took up the defense of his native country. He served in the ranks of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a driver of the fuel and lubricants supply platoon of the logistics company of the logistics battalion. "Sociable, wise and prudent, a good conversationalist, always cheerful and smiling, and simply a person of sincere soul - this is how Yaroslav will remain in the memory of all who knew him and whom he loved. And his 'Peace be with you!' seems to still echo and will echo among the people who knew this bright person," his colleagues noted. "Rest in peace, our friend. He had no adults or little ones, he always smiled at everyone equally, he always went to help, even when not asked (I know this personally)... Slavik... It hurts everyone who knew you. We had hope, which we lost," wrote colleague Natalia Yevtushenko. The warrior was buried in the village of Polytsia, Rivne region. Yaroslav is survived by his mother and sisters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
