Yehor A. Ivanov (Kot)

Soldier Yehor Ivanov (call sign Cat) was killed on August 9, 2023, in the Avdiivka direction. The warrior was 22 years old. Yehor was born in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He lived in Kyiv. When he turned 18, he went on conscript service and then signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He constantly improved his military skills. He was interested in music, played the guitar, wrote poems, and worked on a book. During the full-scale invasion, he defended the Motherland as part of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Vladimir Monomakh. He held the position of a machine gunner. "Yehor was a true warrior, he loved Ukraine very much. He always went first on difficult tasks, not afraid to meet death. He charged everyone around him with powerful energy, strength, and faith. It is difficult to convey how incredible a person he was," said his wife Maria. The defender was buried at the Berkovetske Cemetery in Kyiv. Yehor is survived by his wife, parents, brothers, and sister.
