Yehor A. Serhieiev

23-year-old serviceman Yehor Serhieiev was killed on October 21, 2022, during the assault on enemy positions in the area of the village of Spirne in the Donetsk region. Yehor was born in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He graduated from the local school No. 12. Later, he decided to connect his life with military service. In 2019, he went to serve under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the full-scale war, Yehor held the position of mechanic-driver of the reconnaissance platoon's vehicle of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He took part in battles near Volnovakha, Marinka, and Kurakhovo in his native Donetsk region. Later, his unit carried out combat missions in Siversk. "My dear grandson, there is not a day that I do not grieve for you. Lord, why such a tragedy for the family? But he wouldn't even hurt a fly... We will not forget you," wrote Tamara Lobodova. The defender's body was cremated in Kyiv. Yehor is survived by his mother, younger brother, and beloved girlfriend.
