Yehor O. Kuznetsov (Modzhakhed)

Junior Sergeant Yehor Kuznetsov (call sign Mojahed) was killed on May 23, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Novosilka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 27 years old. Yehor was born in the city of Dnipro. He studied at the local boarding school No. 3. Then he obtained the profession of a painter-plasterer at the Dnipro Vocational and Technical School No. 2. He was passionate about cars. He loved to spend his free time with friends and family. In 2016-2021, he served under contract in the 93rd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Yehor joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought as part of the 25th separate airborne Sich brigade. "Yehor was my first love. We started dating when we were both 16 years old. We lived together for almost 10 years. He was a wonderful father and a wonderful husband. He loved his children very much. In 2016, he decided to go serve and signed a contract. In 2021, he was discharged. When the full-scale war began, he sent me and the children to Poland, and he went to defend our country. He was a cheerful, kind and bright person," said the deceased's beloved Khrystyna. "He was just a good person and the best brother in the world. There are no more such people," said the brother of the deceased, Mykyta. The defender was buried in his hometown. Yehor is survived by his mother, brother Mykyta, wife Khrystyna, son Kyrylo and daughter Sofiia.
