Yevhen E. Slobodian

Junior Sergeant Yevhen Slobodian was killed on March 10, 2024, in the area of the village of Staromaiorske, Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he was wounded. During the evacuation of Yevhen, the occupiers attacked Ukrainian soldiers with a drone, dropping a grenade. This wound proved fatal for the soldier. Yevhen was a native of the village of Havrylivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2020, he graduated from the Havrylivka secondary school of I-III levels. He then entered vocational school No. 17 in Dnipro. He had been passionate about fishing since childhood. Since November 2021, the young man has been serving in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 23rd separate brigade of public order protection "Khortytsia". He was the commander of a patrol platoon squad. "He was very kind. In the difficult and challenging time for our state, he stood up to defend it," said the deceased's relatives. Yevhen was buried in his native village. The defender left behind his parents, wife, and two brothers.
