- Senior Sergeant Yevhen Lepetiuk was killed on February 17, 2024, while repelling an enemy assault in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. He was 28 years old. Yevhen was born in the village of Tavilzhanka in the Kharkiv region. He spent his childhood and adult life in the village of Berezivka in the Luhansk region. After finishing school, he entered the LNAU T. Shevchenko Vocational Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of a truck crane driver. He then returned to his native village. He worked as a driver in the agricultural sector. Since 2020, he has been serving under a contract and defending the borders of his native Luhansk region in the Joint Forces Operation. He served in the 3rd (Luhansk) Border Guard Unit named after the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhen Pikus. After February 24, 2022, he continued to defend Ukraine from the occupiers along with his comrades-in-arms. In September 2023, Yevhen was awarded the "Excellent Border Guard" badge. "Yevhen was cheerful and kind. He always smiled and loved life. His friends and comrades-in-arms tell only good stories about him," said the fighter's wife, Regina. The border guard was buried in the village of Chukalivka in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Yevhen is survived by his parents, wife, son, and close relatives.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
