- Soldier Yevhen Horak (call sign Hora) was killedon February 16, 2023, during the assault on enemy positions in the area of the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. He would have turned 34 years old on February 28. Yevhen was born in Yevpatoria, Crimea. From childhood, he lived in Terebovlia, Ternopil region. He graduated from local school No. 1. Then he obtained the profession of a gas and electric welder at the Khorostkov Agricultural Lyceum. He was actively involved in sports. He worked in his specialty and traveled to work in Poland. He spent his free time with his family and managed to teach his son to ride a scooter. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Yevhen went to the military enlistment office. He waited for the summons for half a year and finally joined the army in August. After training, including in England, he joined the ranks of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to war. The last time the man contacted his relatives was on February 15. The next day, he was killed. For some time, he was considered missing, but then his wife was informed of the sad news. "A loving father and beloved husband. Our souls are united. I will love you eternally," wrote the wife of the deceased, Maria. "Yevhen Horak was a graduate of our school. In sorrow and prayer, we bow our heads low. May the Lord give the relatives the strength to endure this great grief. The memory of the true defender of the native land will always be in our hearts. A deep bow to the defender of Ukraine!" said the Terebovlia school. "Rest in peace, Zhenya. You were a good person," wrote an acquaintance, Lyudmyla. The serviceman was buried in Terebovlia. At home, Yevhen was awaited by his wife Maria and son Oleksandr, who was 5 years old at the time of his father's death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
