- Military serviceman Yevhen Kiktenko (call sign Kiktos) was killed on September 25, 2022, near the village of Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region. He sustained fatal injuries while carrying out a combat mission. The warrior was only 24 years old. Yevhen was born in the city of Zmiiv in the Kharkiv region. Together with his sister, they lost their parents at an early age, so they supported each other throughout their lives and had a strong bond. He graduated from Zmiiv Lyceum No. 1, where he trained as a barista. He served in the military on conscription and decided to stay in the army. In 2020, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Cossack Ataman Ivan Sirko. He held the position of tank gunner. He carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). With the onset of the full-scale war, he defended his native Kharkiv region alongside his comrades. He was blown up by mines twice while riding in a tank, but he always said he would return home only after victory. "He was the best brother, friend, and comrade. The damned war took the most precious thing — my only brother. There is no greater pain in the heart than when the sky takes away the dearest ones. Eternal memory. We will never forget," wrote the sister of the fallen warrior, Daria Homon. The defender was buried in the central cemetery in his hometown. At home, Yevhen was awaited by his sister and three nephews, whom he adored.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
