Yevhen I. Rudenko

Born on January 25, 1977, in the village of Chernechchyna, Okhtyrka district, Sumy region. Graduated from a general education school. In the Armed Forces since the 1990s. Graduated from the Kharkiv Tank Troops Institute named after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (now the Guards Faculty of Military Training named after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute"). Served in the 17th Separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3283, city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region), for the last two years - as a platoon commander of the 28th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666, urban-type settlement Chornomorske, Kominternivskyi district (since 2016 - Lyman district), Odesa region). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 13, 2014, near the village of Biloyarivka, Amvrosiivskyi district, Donetsk region, near a bridge, the tank in which Senior Lieutenant Rudenko was located fell into an ambush and was fired upon with a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. Due to the damage, the tank skidded and fell into the river. Senior Lieutenant Rudenko was unable to escape from the combat vehicle and drowned. The sunken tank remained in the territory controlled by the separatists, and the body could not be retrieved for a long time. On October 6, 2014, he was buried at the "Vsebratske" cemetery in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.
