Yevhen M. Danyshchuk (Vedmedyk)

On June 20, 2022, in battles in Luhansk region, a 37-year-old father of many children, Evgen Danyshchuk, was killed in action. The man lived in the village of Roztoky, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the Chernivtsi Financial and Law Institute and for some time held the position of a leading specialist in working with problematic assets at the Kosiv branch of Oschadbank. Later, the man was twice elected to the position of chairman of the Roztoky village council. Evgen put all his strength into his family, church, and together with like-minded people, was engaged in the development of the village community. At the time of the full-scale Russian invasion, Evgen Danyshchuk was working in Poland. But in the first days, he returned to Ukraine and became a volunteer in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fighter fought as part of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. Evgen while performing a combat mission near Lysychansk. "The hero won freedom and independence of Ukraine at the cost of his own life in fierce battles against Russian occupiers," the Kutsk village council wrote on its official page. "The community lost a brave warrior, a hero. No words of condolence can reduce the grief of relatives and loved ones. There is no forgiveness for the enemy for such crimes," said the head of the Kutsk village council, Dmytro Pavlyuk. Evgen left behind a wife, two sons, a daughter, parents, and a brother.
