- Junior Sergeant Yevheniy Filatov (call sign Fil) was killed in action on July 28, 2022, near the village of Udy in Kharkiv region. During combat operations, he received fatal injuries as a result of the explosion of an explosive device. The defender was 41 years old forever. Yevheniy was from the citychigr of Shy (Russia). He lived in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region. In 1999, he graduated from Kremenchuk Higher Vocational School No. 7, majoring in electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment of the 3rd category. In 2008, he graduated from Kremenchuk University of Economics, Information Technologies and Management, where he received the specialty of manager-economist. He worked at the Kremenchuk Technical Carbon Plant, where he went from a loader to a master. He had many hobbies, but most of all he loved sports, especially weightlifting, often participated in competitions. He also enjoyed cooking, cooked for his family. Sometimes he could go fishing. During the full-scale war, the man decided to stand up for the defense of Ukraine from the enemy and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 32nd separate rifle battalion. He held the position of senior scout of the reconnaissance platoon. "My beloved was an incredible and loving husband. He was brave, courageous, kind, cheerful, a true soul of the company, very much loved to cook for his comrades. He always helped everyone who needed it. He had golden hands. Zhenya was a true friend and comrade, a responsible worker, could cope with any difficulties. He had many plans for the future, but, unfortunately, did not have time to implement them. My husband gave the most precious thing - his life, so that we could live in a free, independent country. He fulfilled his duty to defend his state with honor and courage, and until his last breath remained faithful to his oath, the Ukrainian people, and Ukraine. Eternal honor and memory to all who gave their lives for our Ukraine! Glory to our Heroes who defend and protect their native land," said Natalia Filatova. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Glory of the Sviatoshynsky cemetery in Kremenchuk. Yevheniy left behind his parents, sister, wife, and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
