Yevhen M. Khrolenko

Born on October 19, 1978, in the village of Rohizne, Sumy district, Sumy region. Graduated from the general education school in the village of Plavynyshche, Romny district, Sumy region, and studied part-time at Sumy National Agrarian University. In the 1990s, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He worked in law enforcement from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. He served as a sergeant in the patrol and post service, a junior canine inspector in the criminal investigation department, a duty inspector in the temporary detention facility, and an inspector at the Romny city police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Sumy region. He was in the area of the anti-terrorist operation on a mission as part of a combined detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Sumy region, ensuring public order. On February 16, 2015, during shelling at a checkpoint near the city of Hirske in the Popasna district of Luhansk region, police senior lieutenant Khrolenko received a fatal injury. He was buried on February 18, 2015, in the cemetery of the village of Plavynyshche, Romny district, Sumy region.
