Yevhen O. Bursa (Maliuk)

Military serviceman Yevhen Bursa (call sign Malyuk) was killed in action on March 11, 2022, defending the Kyiv region from Russian occupiers. The defender received a fatal chest wound during a battle near the village of Moschun. He was 32 years old. Yevhen was born in the village of Velika Rublivka in Poltava region. He graduated from Velikorublivska comprehensive school. He worked as a builder, creating coziness and comfort for people. He dreamed of opening an auto service, was a supporter of this business. During the full-scale war, Yevhen defended Ukraine as part of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhtsians. He was a senior gunner of the anti-tank platoon. "Brave, strong, courageous. Loved life, had a fighting spirit, considerable energy. He was a loving husband and caring father," said his wife, Olga. The defender was buried in his native village in Poltava region. Yevhen left behind his mother, sister, wife, and daughter. Senior Soldier Yevhen Bursa was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
