- Senior soldier Yevhen Drahniev (call sign Kent) was killed on May 5, 2024 near the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. The warrior was carrying out a task to launch a drone and came under enemy artillery fire - a cluster munition exploded nearby, as a result of which Yevhen received fatal injuries. The defender was forever 29 years old. Yevhen was born in the city of Zaporizhzhia. After graduating from school, he obtained a higher education at the National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic". He was interested in nature, traveled a lot by bicycle, was interested in birds and dinosaurs in childhood, and during his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine he collected chevrons. He worked at the Zaporizhstal enterprise, holding the position of an electrician of the 6th category. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he went as a volunteer to defend the country in the ranks of the 110th separate brigade of territorial defense. Later he was transferred to the 411th separate battalion of unmanned aerial complexes "Yastrubi". He held the position of a UAV pilot in the 3rd platoon of the 1st company of the 3rd section. After the war, he dreamed of getting married and very much wanted to have children. Yevhen was awarded the "Golden Cross" badge and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "In April, we had our last meeting, he was on vacation. He visited all his relatives and even his fallen comrades. Then I saw his sad eyes, perhaps he felt something. I'm sorry for my son, because he always took care of everyone, loved children and his parents very much. It's a big loss for us, we still can't believe it, we're still waiting for his call," wrote the godmother of the fallen Oksana Ikhno. The defender was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in his hometown. Yevhen is survived by his parents and relatives.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
