Yevhen S. Romanov (Delfin)

Senior Sergeant Yevhen Romanov (call sign Dolphin) was killed on April 6, 2024, as a result of enemy ballistic shelling of the village of Molodizhnе in Odesa Oblast. Yevhen was 25 years old. He was born in Odesa. He studied at the junior school in the village of Krasnenkе in Mykolaiv Oblast. Later, he graduated from Odesa Secondary School No. 78. He enrolled in the Odesa Professional College of Computer Technologies. In civilian life, he held the position of a maintenance technician for engineering and technical security equipment at the Chornomorska Correctional Colony No. 74, and then was a reception administrator at Odis-Group LLC. Since 2020, he has joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract. When the full-scale invasion began, he stood to defend the Motherland as part of the combat crew of the air defense missile system. He held the position of a technician in the 160th Air Defense Missile Brigade. Together with his division, he defended the airspace in southern Ukraine. He was awarded the "Golden Cross" badge, the "For Military Service to Ukraine" and "Cross of Valor" medals, and the Order of Courage of the III degree. "Yevhen was highly valued in the unit for his professional knowledge of repairing equipment and machinery he worked with. He never lost spirit, was always positive, and shared his mood with those around him. Both in service and in civilian life, he never refused to help," said the deceased defender's cousin Veronika Korzh. The warrior was buried in the village of Krasnenkе, Mykolaiv Oblast. Yevhen is survived by his mother and older sister.
