Yevhen V. Androsov (Yudzhyn)

Sergeant Yevhen Androsov (call sign Yujin) was killed on December 28, 2023, in the area of the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. While performing a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of mortar fire from the occupiers. In November, the defender turned 31 years old. Yevhen was born in Karaganda (Kazakhstan). Until 2014, he lived in Luhansk. In 2011, he obtained an education as an electric gas welder at the Luhansk Higher Vocational School of Auto Service. Later, he worked in a mine. When the war began, he moved with his family to Poltava. At first, he looked for work in his field, but was unsuccessful, so he went abroad to work. In his free time, he loved to fish. He often said that when his son grew up, they would definitely go fishing together. He also loved to relax in nature near the river with his loved ones. When the full-scale war began, Yevhen was at work in Estonia, but immediately decided to return home. On February 27, he was already at the military registration and enlistment office in Poltava. On July 1, 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yevhen served in the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He held the position of platoon sergeant. As part of his unit, he defended the Marinka direction in the Donetsk region. He was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's "Golden Cross" award. "He was brave and courageous. In the first days of the full-scale invasion, he returned from abroad and stood up to defend our Motherland and his family," said the wife of the fallen soldier. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Zaturinsky cemetery in Poltava. At home, Yevhen was awaited by his wife Yana and son Demyan, who was 6 years old at the time of his father's death.
