Biography
Yevhen Viktorovych Khrapko was born on September 19, 1984 in Mykolaiv. He studied at the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, which he graduated from in 2006. By education, he was a software engineer and worked in this specialty for some time. With the outbreak of the war in eastern Ukraine in 2014, he actively studied tactical medicine in Kharkiv. He voluntarily went to serve as a combat medic in the ATO zone, where he evacuated soldiers and civilians in difficult combat conditions. In 2015, he studied specialized courses in tactical medicine in Lithuania. In 2016, he signed a 3-year contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and in 2017 he joined the creation of the 205th specialized training center for tactical medicine of the Ground Forces. He was appointed commander of the training platoon, acting deputy commander of the military unit - head of the planning and organization of the educational process. He lived in Kharkiv with his wife Tetiana, together they raised Tetiana's son from her first marriage. He worked as an engineer at the simulation center of the medical faculty of Vasyl Karazin Kharkiv National University. On February 25, 2022, he returned from a business trip to Kharkiv and immediately went to the military recruitment office. He held the positions of instructor, combat medic, and from March 3, 2022 - combat medic of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Koshovy Otaman Ivan Sirko. On the front line, Yevhen Khrapko made more than 100 evacuation trips. He died on June 11, 2022 near the village of Ukrainka, Vovchansk district, Kharkiv region, when his car hit a mine during the evacuation of wounded soldiers from the front line. He was buried on June 14, 2022 on the Alley of Glory in Kharkiv.Burial place
