Yevhen V. Kovalchuk (Artyst)

Yevhen Volodymyrovych Kovalyshchuk was born on September 6, 1992, in the town of Hlukhiv in the Sumy region. After graduating from Hlukhiv General Education School No. 4, he enrolled in the Hlukhiv Agricultural Technical College named after S.A. Kovpak. He stuwas killed on the department of electrification and automation of agriculture. Later, he received military training at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. He served in the military from February 2015 and participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). He held the position of commander of the 1st mortar battery of the 15th Motorized Infantry Battalion "Sumy" of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He was killed on April 1, 2022, in the area of the city of Chernihiv. His car hit a mine when he was helping to evacuate people. The farewell ceremony for Yevhen Kovalyshchuk was held on April 4, 2022, in the city of Sumy.
