Biography
Yevhen Volodymyrovich Saraha was born on December 7, 1977 in the city of Smila, Cherkasy Oblast. He became a volunteer in 2014 when the Russian-Ukrainian war began. He joined the ranks of the Right Sector. In 2016, he became the commander of the 21st Reserve Hundred of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps "Right Sector" of the Cherkasy Oblast. In 2019, he returned to civilian life, but continued to help his comrades-in-arms as a volunteer. He ran for the Verkhovna Rada from the 198th single-mandate district. In civilian life, he had a business, a wife, and raised two children. He dreamed of finishing building a house and living there with his family. In the very first days of the full-scale war, he returned to the "Wolves of Da Vinci" to defend Ukraine. He fought on the hottest fronts. According to the battalion commander Da Vinci, Yevhen Saraha led a group that combed the mined forest near the city of Izium, where 4 152-caliber guns were captured. He led the reconnaissance of the "Wolves of Da Vinci" battalion. He was killed on February 15, 2023 as a result of a hit by an enemy missile on the battalion's command and observation post, which was located on the outskirts of the city of Lyman, Donetsk Oblast. The farewell took place in the city of Smila. He was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the city cemetery.Burial place
