- Soldier Yevhen Udod (call sign Ptakha) died on June 30, 2023, as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike by the occupants on a Ukrainian military stronghold near the village of Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 40 years old. Yevhen was from the city of Dnipro, but lived his whole life in Zaporizhzhia. He studied there in school. Then he graduated from the Zaporizhzhia Metallurgical Vocational College, obtaining the qualification of a locomotive driver. He worked at the Zaporizhstal plant. In his free time, he engaged in ballroom dancing with his wife, loved photography, and studied astrology. During the full-scale invasion of the occupants, the man defended his country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He was a UAV operator. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Donetsk region. "Many people knew and loved Yevhen, prayed for his life, but he died for our Motherland, and with him the light he gave to people faded. He made the world and the people around him better, he was an infinitely kind and talented person. His feat is immortal, and our pain is unquenchable," said the warrior's wife Taisia. The hero was buried in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. Yevhen left behind parents, a brother, a wife, a son, a daughter, other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms. The soldier was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
