- 23-year-old soldier Yevhen Chupikhin (call sign Bekha) died on September 30, 2023 near the village of Andriivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received a fatal injury as a result of enemy artillery shelling. Yevhen was born in the village of Ivashky, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, where he studied at the Faculty of Fire Protection. He then decided to join the ranks of the defenders of the Motherland. On September 28, 2022, the young man signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he served in military unit A1048. During his service, he underwent basic general military training in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. After training, he joined the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Otaman Ivan Sirko. He received the specialty of ATGM operator and scout. He constantly worked on improving his professional level, knowledge and skills. "Yevhen had many plans for the future, he wanted to start a family. He wanted to have a bright and long life to bring joy to his loved ones. Zhenya was confident that victory would come and he would return to his native home... But the enemy took from him the most precious thing - his life. He will forever be 23 years old, and the memory of him will be eternal. He will forever remain in our hearts," said his girlfriend Kateryna Zavadska. The soldier was awarded a commemorative medal and a certificate "For a significant contribution to the victory of Ukraine," and posthumously - the medal "Defender of Zolochiv region." Yevhen was buried in the Alley of Glory cemetery in the village of Zolochiv, Kharkiv region. The defender is survived by his parents, grandmother, grandfather and girlfriend.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
