Yevhenii M. Movchan

Yevhenii Mykhailovych Movchan was born on April 1, 1974, in the Chernihiv region. After serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and receiving the military rank of junior sergeant, he was discharged. With the start of the full-scale military invasion of Russia in Ukraine on February 28, he volunteered to defend his city. He served in the 21st separate motorized infantry battalion "Sarmat" of the 56th separate motorized infantry brigade. He engaged in his first battle, defending the village of Lukashivka in the Chernihiv region. Then there were battles for Kolychivka, Novosilka, and on the outskirts of Chernihiv. There is no exact data on the death of Yevhenii Movchan. He was killed on March 15-20, 2022, near the village of Novosilka. Yevhenii Movchan's body could not be buried for a long time due to the occupation of the Chernihiv region. Then the identification of the body of the fallen soldier took place. The farewell to the fallen serviceman took place on April 18, 2022, in the city of Chernihiv.
