- Junior Lieutenant Yevhenii Manziuk was killed on May 27, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Berestove in Donetsk region. The officer was 31 years old. Yevhenii was born in the city of Kirovograd (now the city of Kropyvnytskyi). In 1991, his family moved to the city of Haivoron in the Kirovograd region. There he graduated from school and the local polytechnic vocational college. He received his higher education at the Kirovograd State Pedagogical University named after V.Vynnychenko, majoring in Physical Education. He served his conscript service in the army. From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a physical education teacher at a school. In 2017, he signed a contract for military service with the 79th Separate Airmobile Assault Brigade. He participated in the ATO/JFO. After three years, he entered the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after the Heroes of Kruty, after graduating from which he received the rank of junior lieutenant and was sent to serve in the 80th Separate Airmobile Assault Brigade, taking the position of commander of the communications platoon. During the full-scale war, he continued to defend Ukraine in the ranks of the airmobile assault troops. "Yevhenii was a kind, sincere and cheerful person, a true patriot of Ukraine. We share the pain of a great, irreparable loss with all our heart, we support the family of the deceased in an hour of grief. Yevhenii will forever remain in our hearts," wrote on the page of Haivoron College. "A wonderful friend, classmate. You're already gone, I don't believe it. You had so many plans for life. I will remember you always. I sympathize with your relatives and loved ones, may God give them strength... Eternal memory to the HERO!", wrote Marina Artyukh. The defender was buried in Haivoron, Kirovograd region. Yevhenii left behind his parents and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
